literally second shot stanley winning
We were literally one shot away, one second away from winning the Stanley Cup.
close enter game great hear learning side team winning
Learning to play in big games, Game 7 and Game 6, all of it is a whole different level. It's different hockey, it's great hockey. On the other side of it, we were that close (to winning the Cup), (so) we're hungry. To get that close and hear the other team celebrating, and know it could have been us, that does enter your mind.
bit couple defensive everybody game given knows last losing order room start winning
In our last couple of games, we've just been a bit sloppier than what our game is and we've given up way too many goals. We've got to get back to doing what we do and that's winning the defensive battles. In the last couple of games, we've been losing those and everybody in our room knows it. That's where well have to start in order to get better.
against break contribute hopefully player sports success wants winners-and-winning winning
It is frustrating because every player wants to contribute to their team's success and be a part of winning ... Hopefully I'll break out here against Edmonton.
coming habit loss winning
It is pre-season, but we're coming off a loss and we want to get into the winning habit at home.
feels home winning
Winning at home and scoring, it always feels good,
bunch love sure
I'm sure he didn't want that, either. He was in there battling. Personally, I had a bunch there in the first I'd love to have back.
anybody great overtime stop
It was great to see that go in. He's got a big shot. I don't think anybody can stop that. Especially that overtime goal.
career continue excited finish flames help team
I'm excited to continue my career with the Flames and help this team finish what we started in the 2004 playoffs,
against boost both chance excited fit goal good great guys hard heard knowing locker matter natural physical playing room score speed stanley three tony
I'm very, very excited. Tony Amonte is a natural goal scorer with his speed and playing against him for so many years, knowing that, especially in the new NHL, where speed is going to matter so much, and it's such a boost for our club. And Darren McCarty, three Stanley Cups, and he's so hard to play against. You play against him and he can skate, he's physical and he can score goals. And these guys I've heard nothing but good things from other players. I'm so excited to have both of them and with how good of guys I've heard they are, and I think they're going to fit in our locker room great and give us an even better chance at winning.
edge game goal good physical
It was a pretty physical game and they probably had the edge there. In a one-goal game, they had the edge. They got the big goal late. It doesn't feel good on our part, that's for sure.
believe case certainly city nice playoffs season shot start
That's a nice change, ... You can pretty much the start the season in every city in the NHL and believe you have a shot at the playoffs and that certainly wasn't the case before.
broke couple last minutes
The last couple of minutes they broke it open,
found game good knew thankfully weird win
It was a different kind of game. Before we knew it we were up four, but it was a weird game ... they're a good team, they battled back and thankfully we found a way to win that one,
