best close looks moving playing possession puck teams
They've always been one of the best teams at puck possession and when you're not moving your feet, it looks there like they're playing with us. That's not even close to our best.
coming excited fun games great importance playing points
I get excited about playing in Edmonton, it's such a great atmosphere, and the games are fun to play in. We know the importance of these games, and coming away with two points is big for us.
amazing believe brought commitment good growing love ownership pains playing thankful
I love playing here. There have been some growing pains over the years, and I want to be here for the good times, and I think they're coming; I really believe in what the ownership is doing and the commitment they've made and I'm very thankful for that and also with our teammates. It's amazing who we brought in and who we have.
against boost both chance excited fit goal good great guys hard heard knowing locker matter natural physical playing room score speed stanley three tony
I'm very, very excited. Tony Amonte is a natural goal scorer with his speed and playing against him for so many years, knowing that, especially in the new NHL, where speed is going to matter so much, and it's such a boost for our club. And Darren McCarty, three Stanley Cups, and he's so hard to play against. You play against him and he can skate, he's physical and he can score goals. And these guys I've heard nothing but good things from other players. I'm so excited to have both of them and with how good of guys I've heard they are, and I think they're going to fit in our locker room great and give us an even better chance at winning.
literally second shot stanley winning
We were literally one shot away, one second away from winning the Stanley Cup.
great momentum whether
We got some great power-play opportunities and fortunately we were able to put it in. Those can be big momentum shifts one way or the other whether you get one or not.
five ourselves penalty team third trouble
We got ourselves into penalty trouble. They had five in the third period, or something like that, and two five-on-threes. You can't give any team that many chances.
five hard ourselves penalties penalty third trouble
We got ourselves in penalty trouble tonight. I think we had five penalties in the third period. In a tie game, it's hard to get offense.
negative question
It was a negative year, no question about it.
chances creating feeling good last scoring six starting
These last six games, I've been feeling better and things are starting to roll. As a group, we're creating more scoring chances and it's good for everybody's confidence.
cool sent
I sent (wife) Kara to try and find one but it wasn't in the stores. It will be cool to see.
challenge fast full
There's some grunting. The challenge is how fast you go from that tuck to that full position.
ahead chance fun morning saw woke
We didn't like the way we woke up this morning and saw they had jumped ahead of us. That's what makes these back-to-backs so much fun is if you lose, you get a chance to get right back at it.
black dreamt everybody growing kids mean player players team trying
Being the only black player on my team growing up, I dreamt just like everybody else to be in the NHL, ... When I would say it, some other kids -- not trying to be mean -- (said) 'There are not that many black players in the NHL. What are the chances?'
