great players tainted
That's the great thing about the women's game. The players are very approachable. They haven't been tainted by stardom. They just come to play.
depends great playing tremendous
That's the great thing about our team. We have tremendous depth. It depends on the day who is playing well for us.
growth happy necessary needed order proper suspension
It was necessary for her growth as a person. She needed to get things in the proper perspective. I told her I wanted her story to have a happy ending. In order to do that, the suspension was necessary.
bench came double effort everybody five great locker players room shape team tremendous
It was a great team effort. That's what I told the team in the locker room -- five players in double figures, and everybody who came off the bench contributed in some way, shape or form. I think this was just a tremendous team effort on our part.
best
It was one of the best defenses we've seen.
came effort factor happy loss week
That loss was a week ago, and did not really play a factor at all. I'm a little disappointed with our effort overall, but I'm happy that we came away with a win.
certainly focusing good practice showing
It's something that we certainly have been focusing on. What we've done in practice is showing up in the games. We've done a pretty good job.
beat difficult extremely great team three
It's always difficult to beat a team three times. It's extremely difficult to beat a great team three times.
concerned job people shows unselfish
It makes my job easier. I think it shows with our assists, how unselfish they are, but also with the minutes. People are only concerned with the end result.
although time tough
It makes it tough. I feel like it's a time of celebration for our team. Although we're happy, I know there's a lot of tough things going on around campus.
adapt arena forces great ncaa players playing
It's like playing in the NCAA Tournament. It forces your players to adapt to the time, the distance, the arena and the crowd. It's a great experience.
bench build high instead kids players program quality quantity school schools sitting three top willing
It's because high school kids are getting better and better. The quality and quantity is getting better. Players are going to different schools now, not just the top two or three teams. They're willing to go build a program instead of sitting on the bench at a well-known school.
It's killing me right now. Not for myself, but for my players.
ball seen turning
It wasn't just one person, it was everybody. Turning the ball over 31 times - I don't think I've ever seen that from this team. So I'm a little disappointed with that.
