against backs bit depends exactly football great next nice people perform saying team trash wall week win
You kind of find out a lot about people when your backs are against the wall and people aren't saying nice things about you, people trash you a bit on TV, ... To come back and perform like we did against a great football team is a great win for the program. Exactly how big depends on what we do next week and the week after that.
bit bring good great open
I think Glennon does have a little bit of an edge. It's an open thing and we want to see some good competition. I think all our quarterbacks bring something to the table. It should be a great competition.
bit bringing couple half involved plays quite running second state teams
We called a couple more plays to get him running in the second half ... Other than that, as we go back and think about our offense, I think getting him more involved in that regard, and getting our receivers more involved when teams are bringing so much pressure, which N.C. State did quite a bit there in the second half.
bit leadership needs senior
I want his senior leadership with us, but I think he needs just a little bit more time,
balanced bit defense field football offense position quite short takes
You look at them, and they're a balanced football team, and their defense is very very good. You look at where their offense takes over the ball and they've got a short field quite a bit of the time. Field position is critical, and that comes back to their defense.
bit call ourselves tough
We battled back, but got ourselves in a little bit too much of a hole. We just couldn't get a call at the right time. It was just a tough night.
bit talk
I think that's something, as we go through the week, we talk about a little bit and think about,
compete interfere spent time together
We have to compete on the field. That's just the facts. That doesn't interfere with all the time we've spent together before.
ahead decided line looked moving offensive talked year
We had talked about moving Duane a year from now, but as we looked at the offensive line we decided to go ahead now,
allow bend blow braces bunch butler knee mind operated question save seen tough
I've seen those knee braces save a bunch of knees. There's no question in my mind that Reggie Butler would be operated on right now if he hadn't had that knee brace on. It was a tough blow right to the knee, but the brace didn't allow the knee to bend to where something would be completely torn.
best group
I've said it before, that this is the best group of kickers that we've ever had.
ball distance good great hang kicking nic pleased
I've really been pleased with Nic Schmitt. He's kicking in a good rhythm, kicking the ball quickly. He's getting great distance and hang time.
good three
The stats aren't very good, but I thought the way our quarterbacks played, you feel good because each of those three made some really good plays.
Things are in place for us. I think this thing is just going to keep growing.
