bases believe capable great guy hide hitting home judged left question reach runs since speed steal talent
This guy is only being judged by the home runs now. Right now, he's only capable of hitting home runs. He doesn't steal the bases anymore. He's not the (superb) left fielder anymore. He doesn't have the speed anymore. I believe that when we reach back, we are going to hide all that talent that started when he was a kid. Because there's no question about it, this guy's been great since he was a kid.
anybody believed guess hear maybe people saw
I thought about it when I saw that. Maybe other people will be called. I guess anybody who they believed to know something, they want to hear (those) people talk.
barry baseball coach game good later opening sooner
It is good to do that, but sooner or later Barry is going to play in the field. Because on opening day, what will we do? ... It's not like it's going to be every game he's DH. For us as a team, it can't be that way.
afraid below games grave guys last losing reality seemed
I was afraid of last place, ... There were a lot of fears. Below .500 -- I never thought I'd see that here. Then, losing 100 games seemed like a possibility, then 90 games. All of those things could have been a reality here. The grave seemed like a reality here, but the guys didn't let it happen.
corner guy ruled saw strike
I thought the guy was out. Saw a strike on the corner that was not ruled a strike.
balls four hard hit
I think we hit about four balls hard today, or was it three?
saw time
I saw it on the scoreboard. I haven't had time to think about it. (Today) is a big day to make plans.
good last managing practicing running saw time tomorrow
I saw it on the scoreboard. I didn't have a lot of time to think about it because I was managing the last two innings. Tomorrow is the big day to make plans. He's been practicing and running around. That's good enough for me, of course.
compare fastball guy hank hit quick
I see a guy with a quick bat. I don't see the end here. I compare the guy with Hank Aaron, who could hit a fastball to the end.
bats hit home runs saw spring training watch
I saw him hit 10 home runs in 40 at bats one spring training. If he's in spring training mode, watch out.
balls hit run saw spring
I saw balls that were hit where he had to run and stop. I didn't see much favoring in the knee. He's so much better than he was in spring training. That was a real workout.
guys last next older year
I said last year that our guys would be a year older. Well, they'll be another year older next season. And we have all those day games.
days playing week
Pedro wanted to play today. I just didn't want to get him in there. Because I know a week or 10 days from now he'll probably be playing too many games.
good guys
Our guys are going to some pretty good teams.
