continued court game pierce plan played player remain run stronger third
She played well in the first two sets, ... I just continued to play the same game in the third set and remain aggressive. The plan was to run Pierce all over the court as we thought that I was the stronger player physically.
lose team win
We lose as a team and we win as a team,
played three time waited
I've waited a long time for this moment, ... I've played three finals, but this is the first I've won.
beat fair fun lying seen
I've never seen such a long break. I didn't think it was a fair play. You know, if that's the only way she can beat me -- I mean, it's up to her. I just don't think it's fun for the players, or the crowd, to see someone lying down for 12 minutes.
difficult excuse serving
It was very difficult to play with this kind of serve, ... I have no excuse for serving like that.
difficult handle maria situation wind
It was very difficult to play today. I think Maria was able to handle the situation and play with the wind better.
playing tennis williams
It was another Williams today. She was playing different tennis today.
allowed game passive played risky
I should've played more risky in that game but I was too passive and allowed her to dominate,
waiting
I've been waiting so long for this. I'm so happy.
focused stay trying
I've never had such a long break. I was trying just to keep warm, stay focused because that was pretty long.
anyone break remember taking
I've never had such a long break. I can't remember anyone taking such a long break before, like 12 minutes. That was really a lot.
concentration felt lead lost period second short suddenly three win
I usually play three sets. And to win the first set and lead 4-0 in the second in such a short period of time, I felt like something was wrong. I just suddenly lost my concentration and aggressiveness.
start
I usually start to play well when I'm in trouble.
aggressive trying
I wanted it. I was fighting, I was trying to be positive, trying to be aggressive with her, but it was difficult.
