match playing tough
She was playing very well and it was a tough first match for me.
aggressive heavy hits
She's very aggressive and hits a heavy ball,
second slice
she said. ''But second serve, it's still, I slice it too much. There is not much I can do.
match
She had a match point, but I never give up, ... You just go for it.
bit deserved excuse serving win
She deserved to win this one, I was a little bit lucky, ... I have no excuse for serving like that.
captain telling wants
She didn't participate for two years. She was telling the captain she was going to play but she hasn't. So I don't think she wants to play.
drop improved last tough
She has really improved a lot in the last two years. She didn't even drop a set here so it's going to be a very tough match.
continued court game pierce plan played player remain run stronger third
She played well in the first two sets, ... I just continued to play the same game in the third set and remain aggressive. The plan was to run Pierce all over the court as we thought that I was the stronger player physically.
break great mixed move needs serve solid top
She mixed it up with her serve very well and I couldn't break her. She has a great serve, a very solid game, all she needs is to move like she did today. She could be in the top five.
advantage angry bit chance gave maybe playing second took win
Maybe I was a little bit angry in the second set, but then I know if I want to win this match, I have to be focused, not think about what she did, ... ... I didn't take advantage of the first set, that I was playing so good. ... I just gave her a chance to play better in the second set, and she took the advantage of this.
against difficult focused four hours likes match patty
Like I said, it was a difficult match to play after four hours waiting. You know when you play against Patty Schnyder , you're very focused on what she likes to do, what she doesn't like to do.
advantage favorite gave lost points shot trying
I lost a lot of points and gave her a big advantage. It's not my favorite shot to do. I'm trying to get better.
against easy happy player slow start talented tough win
I had a very slow start and it was a tough match, she's a very talented young player and it's not easy to play against her, so I was very happy that I was able to win this match.
close couple felt points question winner
I felt like it was a very close match. We know each other very well and it was just a question of a couple of points who was going to be the winner today.
