balls decided great last match open results surface week
For me it's very important to play one week before the U.S. Open and to have this match practice, ... Just to play on the same surface and use the same balls they use at the U.S. Open. Especially after the great results at the U.S. Open last year, I decided I would do the same thing this year.
cup fed final third time won
It's my third Fed Cup final but the first time that I have won so I am really happy,
rules
Do I think she had something? I don't think so. But she could do it by the rules, and she did it.
against almost both challenge close decide emotional feels great match matches point three winning
It was a close match and very emotional for both of us. I have had so many matches winning 7-6 in the third, so I know how it feels to be that close and when one point can decide the whole match that we play for almost three hours. It's a great challenge for me to play against someone who is younger, who has nothing to lose, who is from Russia.
achieve against compete crowd easy finish goal good lindsay means meant player players playing stay support true york
That means a lot to me. She's the No. 1 player in the world. It makes me feel that I can compete against such good players and I can achieve my goal to be No. 1 one day. Playing against Lindsay here in New York with the crowd support for her...it wasn't an easy match. I think that I could stay true and finish that well, it really meant a lot to me.
among hard soon
It's hard to say (if she would be able to be among the top-10 by the end of the year). She has everything to do it. But I don't know how soon can she be on the top.
confident feeling finish less match shot time
It's been a long time I could finish the match like that in less than an hour. I was feeling very confident with every shot that I was making.
dreaming last lucky night saturday seems single year
It seems like a lucky place for me. After last year I'm still dreaming about Saturday night every single day, so who knows?
exhausted
It was really tough. I'm exhausted but ever so happy.
aggressive high playing solid tough
It was a tough first-round match. She has a pretty solid game, the whole package. She's very aggressive from the baseline. She's playing at a high level.
favorite match score tough
It was a very tough match but I am just thinking, 'Why is my favorite score 7-6 in the third?
close gave match though
It was a very close match, so even though she had a match point, I never gave up. I was just going for the winner.
added found happy playing
It was an added motivation. I was happy when I found out I would be playing her.
fair taking
Taking the 12-minute timeout, I don't think was fair play, ... But she could do it by the rules.
