jackson jones last shoot tony
We narrowed it down to Jackson and then Freddie Jones (who would take the last shot). Tony got up into Jackson, which I thought was the right thing to do, and they had to shoot a fade-away shot.
figured shoot surprised thrilled
I'm thrilled with his play. Going from a 'two' to a 'one' is tough. I'm surprised he's figured out when to shoot and when not to this fast.
defensive presence starting
It's still close, ... I think Delonte does more on the defensive end, and you want a defensive presence starting a game.
bench biggest deep extended fantastic kept lead point second
The biggest point for us was when we went deep into the bench in the second quarter. We kept the lead and we actually extended the lead, and you see how young the bench is. Gerald was fantastic in the first half.
awful came game prepared
It was just an awful game for us. They came prepared and we didn't, and that's the coach's fault.
biggest dame games wisconsin
Notre Dame and Wisconsin were the two biggest games when I was in college,
keeping
It's not about who we play, but about keeping up the tradition, about maintaining the streak.
decide despite free game missed players tough won
I just want the players to decide the game. It's a tough one because this game was ours. Despite all the turnovers and the missed free throws, we still should have won this game.
against point purpose send serve
I'm pretty set on it. I don't know what purpose it would serve to send him down now. There has to be a point where he has to play against the pros. And we will use him while he's up here.
drive hands intentions office played playing ran ready reason saying shoes starting time
I had no intentions of playing him. I didn't think he wanted to play. But he ran into my office with his shoes in his hands saying he was ready to go. The only reason I played him was because he was starting at me every freaking time out. I told the coaches, we have to put him in, or he's going to drive me nuts.
surprised
I'm hoping. Let me put it this way. I would be surprised if it didn't go that way every night.
fourth good learning
It was a good fourth quarter. A good learning tool.
gentle guys
Oh, these guys won't be gentle about that. You know that much on this team.
breaks game small
It was a game of small breaks and we didn't get any of them.
