absolutely needs
They said he just needs to get out there and play. That made me feel he was absolutely healthy.
increase job support team
It's our job to support him, increase the talent, so he can be on a better team and become a better player. And the better we get, the better he is going to be.
ballot hard night putting
They made it hard for us all night around the basket. I'm getting my All-Star ballot back and putting Jake on it. He was terrific.
blew last point prove winning
They have a point to prove to a lot of people, and they go out to prove that every night. They feel like they blew one last year, and the only way to prove that point is by winning it again.
except great maybe miami rare team teams three
They are the rare team that has three great players. Most teams have two - except Miami maybe has 2 1/2 with Shaq and Wade.
gave
This game, we had the win, and we gave it away.
game
This game was ours. We did all the right things.
floor great middle player shot sideline stay
I wanted him to stay more in the middle of the floor because we thought if he went to the sideline they would be able to double. And they actually did, and he still got the shot off. That was just a great player making a great shot.
game glass great needed ryan terror win work
Ryan has been great for us and he's just a terror on the backboard. Not only did we need his glass work but we needed his quickness. Without Ryan Gomes, we don't win this game tonight.
crafty ryan smart supposed surprises surprising though
Ryan Gomes still surprises me. Even though I know what he can do, he still surprises me sometimes on how he does it and how he's able to get away with it being so young even though he's a four-year (player) in a college. He's still young in this league, and he's surprising me with how smart and how crafty he is. I mean, he's supposed to be a rookie.
aggressive ball couple felt friday great guys hit job quick react reacting score tried
Ryan's been great. I still want him to be more aggressive on the post. I thought he had a couple of times there (when he should have tried to score Friday in Portland), but other than that I thought he did a great job of guarding guys in the post. He is quick to react to the ball. There were times I felt he was reacting to the ball before it hit the rim.
best change changed coverage defensive eight four last normally san seven team three
San Antonio is the best defensive team in the last seven or eight years. They don't normally change things, but they changed their (defensive) coverage three or four times in that game. It didn't work, unfortunately.
games judge three
Do you judge me on three years of overachievement or 10 games of underachievement?
fans figured
I figured the fans were here. Give them something.
