I didn't do much, started practicing a little bit the last few weeks, but didn't really play that much at all. That made it really good to come out here and be refreshed and stay patient during my round.

It's where I want to be. I would have liked to have today go a little bit smoother with the weather, but that's the way it goes. Those guys do have a lot more major experience with the wins, but I'd like to start somewhere.

It's just nice to see the wind calm down a little bit so you can make a few birdies out there. It was a little bit easier today to hit the fairways and get it closer to the hole. Obviously, it was a good day. Anytime you shoot a 62 is a great day. It was nice -- me and David just kind of fed off each other all day. He played great and I was able to kind of follow in his footsteps.

I'm where I want to be. Obviously, I would have liked (Saturday) to go a little bit smoother with the weather. It didn't quite cooperate, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

You expect low scores out here, but don't usually expect a 60. That's a phenomenal round. You can't really get too overwhelmed with the first round. You've just got to keep it up throughout the week.

The tournament is not over yet, just because you beat one guy. I wish it was. I wish they gave the trophy away today, but they don't.

We've gotten to know each other pretty well over the last few years. He's a great guy. I really enjoy playing with him.
athletes beginning problem younger
I wasn't there at the beginning of the year, but I think the problem here is that we have to get athletes to come out and play. We've been shorthanded and had to play the younger kids.
