I thought it was an honor that fellow players looked at me that way. I don't think I really put too much more pressure on myself. I just took it as a compliment.

You know, it's special to be leading after two rounds. Obviously my goal is to be leading after four rounds.

The 6-iron I hit out of the bunker was what saved the whole day. To be able to hit that shot, make the putt and go to the next hole, hit it right down the middle and make a birdie, two birdies in a row.

I expect to win. I think I have the ability to win.

I wish they'd give the trophy away today, but they don't. It's definitely an accomplishment, and I'm proud of myself for grinding it out and playing so well against the No. 1 player in the world.

I didn't do much, started practicing a little bit the last few weeks, but didn't really play that much at all. That made it really good to come out here and be refreshed and stay patient during my round.
bad confidence happy hindsight looking months played second taking week year
Obviously, I was disappointed and not happy with the way I played on Sunday. Looking back at it, taking second the first week of the year after taking two months off, in hindsight it wasn't that bad of a week. More than anything, I got confidence out of it.

Obviously, it's been the hardest course. I'm looking forward to playing it. If the wind is not blowing, you can make some birdies. In turn, if the wind is blowing, a couple under is a great score.

Obviously, your goal is to be able to compete in all the majors. I haven't done that as well as I'd like.

Maybe I feel like my game's improved and I feel like I can play this course and compete on this course. I've learned where to hit it, where not to hit it, to some extent. Just try to keep it out of those spots.
