bad confidence happy hindsight looking months played second taking week year
Obviously, I was disappointed and not happy with the way I played on Sunday. Looking back at it, taking second the first week of the year after taking two months off, in hindsight it wasn't that bad of a week. More than anything, I got confidence out of it.

It's such a special place. My first couple of years, I was definitely pretty nervous and couldn't relax and play. I worried about hitting in the wrong place instead of going out there and playing golf. I felt like the last couple of years I've been able to play golf and not worry so much about hitting bad shots, because everybody is going to miss it in the wrong place some time or another.

We adjust pretty quick to courses. You know, without any wind out here, you can make some birdies. The guys (at the Classic Club) on Wednesday and Thursday kind of got the bad end of the deal with the wind blowing so hard. It was a totally different course that we played (Saturday).

I hit a bad tee shot in the fairway bunker, then I caught it a little heavy and hit it in the bunker short of the green, then missed about a 20-footer for par. It was just kind of a nightmare hole for me.

You know, not a bad start to the year. Hopefully, I can take something from here that is positive. I wasn't able to get anything going today, but my first three rounds were really solid. David was just too tough today. He played well all week.

You expect low scores out here, but don't usually expect a 60. That's a phenomenal round. You can't really get too overwhelmed with the first round. You've just got to keep it up throughout the week.

There's nothing to celebrate yet. You know, there's 36 holes left and we're only halfway through.

The tournament is not over yet, just because you beat one guy. I wish it was. I wish they gave the trophy away today, but they don't.
