I'm looking forward to it. I'm a little antsy right now. I just have to make sure I just keep at the pace everyone wants me to go at and go from there.
anybody ask besides gets hits home nice plays record run
I like the 4,000 hits. That's the one that gets me. That's a lot of hits. That's the most eye-popping record to me besides the home run record. You ask anybody who plays the game, that's a nice record to have. The most hits ever?
happiness happy knew pitch
Everyone knew he'd come back and pitch well. I'm just happy he's OK.
happiness happy knew pitch
Not the way he was pitching. Everyone knew he'd come back and pitch well. I'm just happy he's OK.
came games happen matter whoever
It was just one of those games. It didn't matter what (Waechter) did. The way they came out, it was going to happen to whoever pitched.
bone bruise definitely fine found four game gotten months patient season six start takes wait wind
Once I found out it was a bone bruise and it takes four to six months to heal, then I was fine with that. It's only been four months, and it's definitely gotten better. ... I just have to be patient and wait for it to heal. I mean, if the season was going to start today, I'd wind up playing. It's not one of those things where I'm going to be out. If we had to play a game today, I'd be ready.
glad hate mostly scared somebody
I'm glad to see him back out there pitching, ... I was mostly scared for his health. He is important to their team. You hate to see somebody go down like that.
carry definitely everybody field games hard help lead means middle playing ready room somebody standing team telling whose win
I just want to come in and be myself, you know. And that means go out and play hard every day. Try to help the team win games. When you say a leader, you usually think about somebody whose standing in the middle of the room telling everybody stuff. I don't know if I'll be that person, but I'll definitely try to lead by the way I'm playing on the field or by the way I carry myself on and off the field, the way I get ready to play the games every day.
battle came hard last normally until wanting
I just came out wanting to battle and do what I normally do and play hard until the last inning.
catch front home numbers pitches pull runs selective somebody teach trying
I'm trying to be more selective and getting pitches to drive. I'm also trying to catch pitches out front more, ... Once I have somebody teach how to do that consistently, I won't have to pull my home runs all the time. And that's when my numbers will go up more.
fight hard tried
It was a hard cutter in, and I just tried to fight it off.
cool feeling feels momentum pushing
It's cool, because we never had that feeling around here. So it feels great. Now we just want to keep pushing and keep the momentum going.
coming field good last learning love point stuff
It's been good. That's the thing we didn't have last year, the little fundamentals and stuff like that. I feel like it's to the point where I love coming to the field every day because I'm learning something new. And that's a good feeling.
looked rhythm trying
It looked like he was just trying to get his rhythm in the first inning.
