Nobody even mentioned the word losing, losing games. We know we've been a losing franchise. He just wanted to say something back like he's always running his mouth. That's what he does. He runs his mouth all the time. Nobody was blaming him for anything. For him to come back at me was a personal attack. I feel that if there is anything that he is unsure about, tell him I would be more than happy to say it in his face, or any kind of other way, that would make him understand.

I just think the second half came. Guys were trying to put up numbers, to be honest with you. Guys trying to get jobs for next year and play well so they can try to solidify their place in the lineup for next year, pretty much. That's what had a big thing to do with the way we started playing.

He stayed in there and worked hard and finally got his shot, that's what inspired me. I was impressed with the way he handled his whole situation. Never complaining about stuff, never saying if this would have went this way, this would have happened. He said this is the way it is.

He's stressing the little things this year. It's fine with me because I needed to put that into my game. Joe's the kind of guy that he's cool enough that if he suggests something, then you listen and roll with it because you know it's best for the team.

We watch so much film, calling up pitch by pitch, count by count in order to spot tendencies. Technology is a big part of how I get ready for a game. What's funny is a lot of the NFL guys say they study the 'Madden' game; that's how they learn to read offenses and defenses.

We're not exaggerating at all, it's definitely a different feeling. It's a little more comfortable. Things were more intense last year. Guys seem more comfortable about what they're doing on a day-to-day basis. It's a more relaxed atmosphere. It makes things easier to operate.
