believe came certain good player reason remains steve
I wasn't certain how he was going to do, but I can see differences in Steve between now and 2001 when he first came to us. He is a much more experienced player and he is a very good player, and if he remains healthy, there's no reason to believe that he won't be in our first 11.
expected goals obviously second
I was not surprised. We expected them to play the way they did. They had two obviously outstanding goals in the second half.
employment imagine might
I would imagine I'll find some kind of employment after the World Cup. If not, I might want to be a sportswriter.
advantage anywhere beat city mexican mexico proved
Mexico City is a lopsided advantage for the Mexican team. With the altitude, it makes it a completely different game. But we know that when we play them anywhere else, we can beat them. We proved that tonight.
anybody closed mind ruled terms wait
We haven't ruled anybody out. We don't have a closed mind in terms of the roster at this point. We're going to have to wait and see.
continues given goalkeeper improve opportunity talented terrific tim time
Tim continues to be a very talented goalkeeper that we think, given time and the right opportunity, is going to continue to improve and be a terrific goalkeeper at the international level. One day he will be the No. 1 goalkeeper for the U.S.
continue countries difficult grow smaller time
We haven't outgrown CONCACAF. I think you are going to see the smaller countries will continue to grow and we're going to have a very difficult time qualifying for the 2010 World Cup.
bit rewarded
I think they need to be rewarded a little bit for what they've done.
lack respect
I think there is a lack of respect for our soccer.
belong convince opportunity players strong
I think there's some disappointment in some players because it was an opportunity for them to try to convince me that they belong on our roster for the World Cup. Most did not have a strong argument; some did.
game giving half huge mental minute opening second
Just a huge mental mistake. Giving the game away in the opening minute of the second half to me is very foolish.
lead player
Landon is an experienced player. He's a player we will look to not only lead us but to be important in our attack.
again bobby city convey count eddie help johnson players potential wizards
I think Donovan and Beasley once again are players that we will count on. Bobby Convey (Reading) has the potential to help us in a World Cup, Eddie Johnson (Kansas City Wizards ) has the potential to help us in the World Cup.
environment opportunity stadium
Having the opportunity to get a feel for the stadium and the environment here is very valuable.
