altitude columbus fact field good mexico playing step venue
I like the fact that we're not playing at altitude (as in Mexico City), and Columbus is as good a venue as we can select. We have no excuses. We need to step on the field and win.
arguably biggest certainly couple cup forward game good june mexico next objective obviously positive result rival saturday since
Obviously we look forward to the game on Saturday for a couple of reasons. Mexico is certainly and arguably our biggest rival in CONCACAF and that always makes for a good game. More importantly, any kind of positive result for the U.S. qualifies us for the next World Cup and that's been our objective since June of 2004.

More importantly, any kind of positive result for the U.S. qualifies us for the next World Cup and that's been our objective since June of 2004. We obviously look forward to the game. We love playing in Columbus. We anticipate a great crowd, and one that's very supportive of the U.S. team. I'm confident we're going to field a strong team and play well.
against final home lost mexico nice qualify record round special teams top
Obviously, the two top teams in CONCACAF are the U.S. and Mexico. We have the one blemish on our record when we lost in the first part of the final round in Mexico City, so it's nice to get that back, and it's very special to qualify at home against our archrival.
advantage anywhere beat city mexican mexico proved
Mexico City is a lopsided advantage for the Mexican team. With the altitude, it makes it a completely different game. But we know that when we play them anywhere else, we can beat them. We proved that tonight.
games jump opportunity
In games like this, you have to jump on any opportunity that you get.

I'm real pleased with this seven-week camp we've had to bring back players into the swing of things.
beginning early fast goal team ticket
The Costa Rica team will play very strong, very fast in the beginning of the game, try to get an early goal and write their ticket to Germany.

I'm not sure he's been real patient. I think it's his time.
certainly chances couple good himself looking norway putting saying
I'm not saying anyone's in or anyone's out after tonight. But Taylor's chances are looking as good as they did (after the Norway game). He's had a good couple weeks, and he's certainly putting himself into a good position. Tonight's play didn't hurt.
anyone capable optimistic playing qualify regardless team
I'm optimistic that we can qualify out of the group, regardless of what anyone else thinks. I think we're capable of playing with any team in the world.
advantage domestic seven snow sure training
I'm not sure the snow was an advantage for anybody. We have been training in California, our domestic players, for seven weeks.
pencil players wait
Nothing is set in stone. But for the most part, I think we have a nucleus of 14, 15 16 players who we could pencil in now. ... We'll just have to wait and see.
entire experience good road
It was a good win, good experience for a lot of our players. We've been on the road the entire year, and we're exhausted.
