I'm a big fan of Dee Brown. He's the heart and soul of that team and he's the first guy we've got to stop.
I had to have confidence in myself to keep taking shots. We're a scrappy team and we showed we can hold a lead in the second half.
Arizona State has some bruisers on their team and they neutralized him a little bit. But Arizona, we don't think they are as tough on the inside and we think Jon could have a big performance. We are looking forward to him just banging in there and being relentless, and eventually we think he can wear on them.
We are a physical team and we're scrappy. Tonight I think we did a good job of coming out and showing everybody that we're a scrappy team and we can hold some leads in the second half.
People give me a lot of credit for being a team guy, but Bobby brought us a winning attitude. I never won a state championship.
That's going to be a struggle between two teams trying to impose their wills on one another. If they can get it in the half-court set, they'll have the advantage.
My teammates like me, they enjoy me. I'm not being too dominant in the locker room or anything like that. As long as all the things are good, I'm having fun.
Last year we had huge confidence because teams didn't know how quick we were or how fast we were going to play.
This means a lot. This is my last go-around. I don't want to go out a loser. I want to go to the NCAA tournament. We could be the first UW team to go three times in a row since I don't know when. So this is all stuff I want to be part of.
There's a lot of good teams on that 32-game home win streak. Another one came in here and took it from us. It's the only way it should end.
There's always a weakness in every team. They have had a lot of games this season where they are down 15 and they come back. That just shows how dominating of a team they are, and it also shows that sometimes they are less focused for 40 minutes. That may leave the door open for us.
That's special the way that team beat us and broke our record at home. So it was good to come in here and spoil their Senior Night.
What makes it hard for us is that we're used to playing a fast-paced game and they're used to slowing it down. When we play each other it's a really awkward game. It's a battle of who imposes their game plan on the other one. They're a tough team to play against. You never look forward to playing them.
I guess that's because I can do a number of things. I can penetrate, I can shoot the three-ball and I can pass the ball off. I just have to make plays to let my team be effective.
