Robert Hartleyis a hockey coach who was most recently the head coach for the Calgary Flames in the National Hockey League. He coached the Colorado Avalanche from 1998–2002, a period during which he won the Stanley Cup. He also coached the Atlanta Thrashers from the 2003–04 NHL season up until the beginning of the 2007–08 NHL season, when he was fired after the Thrashers got off to an 0–6 start. There's never an easy loss, but I thought we started the game like we wanted to start. Unfortunately a couple of plays cost us the game. Buffalo is very confident right now and they take advantage of basically every one of their chances.

You don't bother with what people on the outside are saying. I said we would make a run, and we're honest people. We'll work to the last game and see where it takes us. We'll either go home or go to the playoffs.

We need three more wins. There's no way we can settle for less than this. With three more wins we're going to force other people to win their games and basically that's a situation we want to be in.

We have the same team that we did before. But the race is getting tougher and tougher. It's only January, but we're already looking at scores after the game to see who's losing and who's winning.

It's two incidents basically a couple of games apart. It's bad timing. We're playing obviously awful right now, so obviously everything is thrown at us and rightfully so. Right now, we're getting what we deserve, it's as simple as this.

It was a game where we carried the play and they carried the play for a while. It was a big game and unfortunately, they got the final shot (on power play) and we didn't. It's just sad.

I think it's a very positive first step. He had some real good chances on the power play. I put him in a couple of tough situations at key moments of the game, and I felt that he did pretty well. But let's face it, this is step one. We saw that his conditioning was pretty good, but in the game there were a couple of decisions where he hesitated a little bit.
