Every man should first desire to acquire maximum knowledge, to engage himself in the noblest of deeds, earn social respect, success, fame and prosperity, authority and then act accordingly in order to realize them.

THE tongue is the armour of heart; it guards one's life. Loud talk, long talks, wild talk, and talk full of anger and hate; all these affect the health of man. Why is silence said to be golden? The silent man has no enemies, though he may not have friends. He has the leisure and the chance to delve within himself and examine his own faults and failings. He has no more inclination to seek them (fault) in others.
convinced hears himself lord totally unto wherever whom
Wherever I look, there You are; I am totally convinced of this. Unto whom should I pray? The Lord Himself hears all.

Man is, they say, a monkey that has lost its tail; well, he must lose many more attributes of the monkey before he is entitled to call himself Man. He must dedicate his thought, word and deed to God and surrender to His Will. Then only is this animal entitled to become a Man in whom the Divine is enshrined.
afflicts commit god himself sickness
Sickness afflicts those who commit sins; God Himself sits as the Judge.
acquire engage himself intelligence refine study
One should engage himself in self study to refine his intelligence and to acquire knowledge.
fear himself improves lessons past takes
One, who takes lessons from his past and improves on himself need not fear the future.
diving earth fear fellow flying himself love man men moon moves others reach sea strike terrified towards
MAN is flying to the Moon and diving into the Sea; but he does not know how to live on Earth with his fellow men in Love and Peace. He moves towards the Moon for fear others may reach there before him and dives through the Sea to strike terror, himself terrified of others!
dedicate duty himself individual
It is the duty of every individual to dedicate himself for the betterment and advancement of the country.
created creator destroy himself shall universe
The Creator Himself has created the universe; He Himself shall destroy it.
himself man naturally virtuous
An enlightened man naturally engages himself in virtuous deeds.
although describe estimate god himself naturally thus wakes
God is naturally pervading all places. Sometimes He is hidden, and sometimes He is revealed; thus God has made the world of His making. He Himself wakes us from sleep. No one can estimate His value, although everyone has tried, over and over again, to describe Him.
controls himself senses slightest
He, who controls his senses and 'sacrifices' himself in the 'fire of knowledge' does not have the slightest of trepidation and fear.
alone created himself knows lord says
He alone knows His actions; He created this creation. Says Nanak, the Lord Himself is the Doer.
