Annika Sörenstam; born 9 October 1970) is a retired Swedish professional golfer, one of the most successful female golfers in history. Before stepping away from competitive golf at the end of the 2008 season, she had won 90 international tournaments as a professional, making her the female golfer with the most wins to her name. I'm competitive and yeah, I was very disappointed in the way I played on Sunday. I played really good for three days and I made a few mistakes down the stretch. Of course I was disappointed in myself and wished things would have been a little different. This gives me a little bit more fire and maybe that's what I need for the rest of the season.
Last year, I told everyone what my goals were and then I didn't get to come in here and hold the trophy or be soaking wet, so my goal went down the tubes, ... But now, I'm here and I'm soaking wet. And now I'm looking forward to the rest of the year.
I'm very competitive. I'd do anything to beat them all.
I know the young ones are going to take over eventually, there is no doubt about it. I love the position I'm in, and I'm not going to let it go too easily.
I know where I'm at on the money list. I'm here to reach my own goals, play my own game.
I'm looking forward to returning to Hamilton Farm to try to improve on last year's performance. A match-play event brings great variety to the schedule.
It's something that comes throughout the season, ... The first time I obviously wanted to be player of the year, then I said let's see if I can do it again. This year I was totally focused on majors, thinking if I won all four majors, I could become player of the year.
The atmosphere is there, and the talk is there, and now we have to just play. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. We don't voice our opinions the way they do. Hopefully we can let our clubs do the talking.
It was horrible, no fun at all. It was a really tough day -- it was windy, rainy and cold. I just wanted to finish and have a cup of coffee in the clubhouse.
It was just one of those days. I am happy with the way I am playing, I just couldn't get it together today. I'm just glad I made birdie on the last hole. Hopefully I can turn it around.
This is kind of close to my home in Tahoe, so it's about time I came back, ... I am happy to be here and I look forward to playing this weekend.
I'm not so disappointed. I think J.J. just played incredible. I think she would have been very hard to catch today. So my hat's off to her. She played excellent.
I'm not going to the range. I'm going home. I'm just going to get focused and get my game ready for next week.
I'm excited for her to come out and play with us, ... It's a big step for her to turn professional, but I think she can handle it.
