coming good player since swinging
What a big hit. He's been a different player since coming back from the minors. The way he's been swinging the bat, you're going to get good production.
arguably best david easy guarantee players talking
It is easy to second-guess me, but it was my call. I'd like someone to give me a guarantee that David Ortiz wouldn't have done that to Nate Robertson. We're talking about someone who is arguably one of the best players in baseball.
given players
I sense some players have given in a little, and that's unacceptable.
ball brought furthest hits home might player run since six weeks
We've said it before, when Carlos Pena hits a home run -- wow! That might be the furthest ball ever hit in this ballpark. He's been a different player since we brought him up six weeks ago. He's a better player.
coast detroit giving gulf hear people players problems tigers
I think the players are giving in a little and that's unacceptable, ... I don't think the people of the Gulf Coast want to hear about the problems of the Detroit Tigers right now.
baseball definitely good grows league major player
He kind of grows on you, ... He's a good baseball player with good instincts. He's already a major league outfielder. This is more than just a look-see. We think Curtis is definitely a part of our future.
excites guy people players top
He's a guy who excites a lot of people in this organization. We haven't had too many positional players come through our system. Curtis is at the top of the list.
mind players type
The first thing that comes to mind is athleticism and type of players they have,
bounce broke couple games last losing rough row win
We broke out. It's been a while, hasn't it? To win the series, win the last two games in a row after a losing streak, after a rough couple of weeks. We usually bounce back every time. We'll see.
decision
We're going to have to make a decision on Carlos,
certainly decision easy few might opened sure weeks
We're going to have to, ... I'm sure he'll be a topic. We're not over yet, so he might make that decision easy one way or another. But he's certainly opened some eyes. This has not been ordinary. It's been very good. Right now, he's a force. I'd certainly like to give him some credit, but is a few weeks enough? No.
hitting
We're just not hitting right now. It isn't that we aren't trying.
bothers guys losing magic message sit
We're just not getting it done. I'm not getting the message across. This really bothers me. I know I'm responsible, but guys have got to do it. It's inexcusable to be going through this losing streak. Losing doesn't sit well with me. It shouldn't sit well with anybody. We have to keep working. I know no other way. There's no magic potion.
good might
When you think you might see him, you don't, then there he is. It was good to see him.
