certainly effect expect happen impact
It certainly doesn't impact me much this year. You never know what's going to happen down the road, but I wouldn't expect it to have much effect on me this year. If it does, then I'm not doing my job, anyway.
against arguably best scratch
He's arguably the best there is. Against him, you've got to scratch and claw the best you can.
college elite emerging guy impressive last
He's already emerging as one of the elite closers in the game. That's pretty impressive for a guy who was in college last year.
enjoyed good hand playing underrated
Underrated by who? I think he's an underrated player, period. I've just enjoyed playing with him and getting to see first hand how good he is.
good
I actually feel good at the plate. I'm working on things.
obviously
He's pitched so well. We're frustrated. He's obviously pitched a lot better than his record.
mistakes
He didn't make many mistakes on the big part of the plate.
afraid ball breaking changed good inside pitch speeds
He changed speeds on his fastball. He had a changeup and a pretty good breaking ball and he wasn't afraid to pitch inside too.
afraid ball breaking changed good inside pitch
He changed speeds, had a pretty good breaking ball and he wasn't afraid to pitch inside either. I thought he was very good.
fun pitches tough
He makes tough pitches when he has to. He's been fun to play behind.
I just didn't get it done. It's frustrating.
field hard toward
The field here kind of slopes out, toward the baselines. You can get some hard bounces over there.
came capable contribute felt four last night
I never got it going like I was capable of, but at least in the last four months, I felt like I could contribute every night when I came to the ballpark.
against bear
Against Santana, you know you've got to bear down in every at-bat. Because if you don't, not only will he own you, but he'll make you look bad, too.
