found good help johnny knows men teammates veteran
He's a good dude. I found that out right away. Obviously, he's going to be a good player, and he knows how to act, too. I want to be there to help him out. But I don't want to overkill him with Johnny Veteran stuff. We're all men here and we're all teammates here. Plus, I like him.
against arguably best scratch
He's arguably the best there is. Against him, you've got to scratch and claw the best you can.
college elite emerging guy impressive last
He's already emerging as one of the elite closers in the game. That's pretty impressive for a guy who was in college last year.
enjoyed good hand playing underrated
Underrated by who? I think he's an underrated player, period. I've just enjoyed playing with him and getting to see first hand how good he is.
good
I actually feel good at the plate. I'm working on things.
obviously
He's pitched so well. We're frustrated. He's obviously pitched a lot better than his record.
mistakes
He didn't make many mistakes on the big part of the plate.
afraid ball breaking changed good inside pitch speeds
He changed speeds on his fastball. He had a changeup and a pretty good breaking ball and he wasn't afraid to pitch inside too.
afraid ball breaking changed good inside pitch
He changed speeds, had a pretty good breaking ball and he wasn't afraid to pitch inside either. I thought he was very good.
bowl fireworks music super
Kind of like the Super Bowl before the game. All the fireworks and the music blasting.
awesome lost pickup remember together trade
I think it got a little lost in the Coco Crisp trade, but if Mota is healthy, that's an awesome pickup for us. I remember when he and (Eric) Gagne were together in the Dodgers' bullpen. They were electric.
saw sign
Yeah, I think I knew. I saw the sign and the announcers.
best came games played smiles
When we came in here after the game, there were smiles on our faces, This was one of the best games I've ever played in.
balls gets leaves
When he gets in trouble, it's when he leaves balls up, over the plate. He didn't do that today.
