continue good hands reason starting third
We're working on little things with his hands and feet. Nothing major. He's starting to feel comfortable with the things we're doing. He's still learning. But he's young and he'll continue to work. There's no reason he can't be a good big-league third baseman.
continue everybody using
We'll continue using everybody who's in camp. It'll be a competition.
continue everybody judgment ready
We'll continue to let everybody play. This is a competition. I'm not ready to make a judgment at this time. Day to day, things change.
continue forward francisco looking next playing road san three trip
It's only three games. But, I'm looking forward to our next road trip (San Diego, San Francisco and Atlanta). We're playing well and we have to continue to do that.
ahead continues liked needs obviously pitch seen
Bannister still needs to make this club, so I'm not going to get ahead of myself with all that. I have liked what I've seen from (Bannister) all spring. If he continues to pitch well, obviously he has a chance.
ball bit continue good guys maybe start struggling team though
He is part of the team and he's going to be a part of the team. We'll get him going. He's going to be fine. We feel real good about him, even though he's one of the guys on the team that's maybe struggling a little bit right now. We'll just continue to give him the ball when we can, and I think before too long he'll start to feel good about himself.
ball carries continues obviously pitch seen threw
I like what I've seen from him all spring, actually. He threw the ball well today, and I like the way he carries himself. If he continues to pitch well, he obviously has a chance.
bat swinging
We've been swinging the bat well all year. Everyone contributes to that.
couple good leaving pitchers ran shut
We just ran into a couple of good pitchers and they shut us down after leaving Arizona.
gave regular routine stay
We just gave a heads-up that's a possibility. He'll stay on a regular routine for now and then we'll see.
games might win
We might win 15 games in a row.
fair options speculate time
We could do a lot of different things. It's not fair to speculate right after the game, when you've got time to think what your options are.
advantages depth pitching schedule speed
The schedule is the schedule, but I like my team. If there are any advantages we have (over the other wild-card hopefuls), it is our speed and the depth of our pitching staff.
certain experience good growing guys happen learning sure talked taste
I've talked to my guys about it. All teams, when they go through a growing process, these things happen before you get to a certain level. I told them to make sure they don't like the taste they have in their mouth. It's going to be a good learning experience for them.
