believer bit extra firm guy matter time wrong year
I'm a firm believer that if you can give a guy an extra day, then there's nothing wrong with doing it. Everyone this time of year is a little bit banged up, a little bit sore, a little bit this, a little bit that. It doesn't matter because you have to take the ball.
sure wrong
I'm sure he's going to play in the Cup. Why not? He's fine. There's nothing wrong with him. Nothing serious. So why not?
billy breaking building protect
I'm legit now. I won't be breaking Billy Martin's or Earl Weaver's records, but that's been building up for a long time. I don't want to get a reputation, but I want to protect my players.
billy breaking building protect
I'm legit now, ... I won't be breaking Billy Martin's or Earl Weaver's records, but that's been building up for a long time. I don't want to get a reputation, but I want to protect my players.
happy
I'm just happy to be part of this day.
yankees red comparison
There's no comparison to me. There's nothing like Yankees- Red Sox to me.
baby jobs real
I view it as a real competition. We're in a business where, you know what, there's no babies here. You go out, win the job and take it. I've been told by management, for the most part, that we're going to play the best people. Obviously, you've got to consider stuff like contracts - that's a reality of the game. But still, when it gets down to it, we're going to try and pick the guy that deserves to win the job.
handled poise
I don't look at just where he's playing, it's how he handled himself. He has a lot of poise for a young player, and I like that.
continue
I'm just going to continue to let everyone play.
both exciting experience impressed
It's exciting when you think of our future. The experience Reyes and Wright are getting now is invaluable. I am impressed with our young talent, both up here and who we have in the minors.
impressive poised second
The thing you like about him is he's very comfortable and very poised in the field. Yeah, he didn't play second today, but that's impressive to me.
bounce far hard worked
It's disappointing because he's worked hard to get back where he is, as far as getting back into the league. It's something that's a setback, but he's young enough to where he can bounce back.
You don't see that too often. He's human, I guess.
That's why you don't panic, ... That's why you don't overreact.
