Van Winston Chancelloris a former college and professional basketball coach. He coached University of Mississippi women's basketball, Louisiana State University women's basketball, and the professional Houston Comets. He was named head coach on April 11, 2007, replacing Pokey Chatman. In 2001, Van Chancellor was elected to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, located in Knoxville, Tennessee. I said ahead of time that if we were going to be a force in the playoffs, Tina Thompson had to be a force, and she was tonight. She was outstanding. I thought this was as big a win as it gets tonight for us. You just don't realize how hard it is to hold them to 66 points.
