When we got the lead, maybe we relaxed with it a little bit. They hit some shots, and we missed some. They made a run and just kept coming at us.
I think that there was a lot of pressure on the freshmen coming in with some of the guys leaving, having to play some big roles and get thrown right into the lineup early. But I think that's over now. I think we have experience under our belt now.
Definitely it was fun in the second half when we started coming back and making a run and started stopping them defensively. That was a big key in the win.
I think I played well offensively. I think my game was in a flow. Definitely it was fun, especially in the second half when we started coming back and making the run and started stopping them defensively. I didn't have (records) in mind. I didn't even know I had that many points.
What helped us get the road win is we kept our poise. There were definitely some times where we made some questionable plays, but I think we kept our head and kept playing hard, and that's what gave us the win.
I think that was real big. It was something that we stressed before the game ... it was something that we really focused on.
I was kind of surprised; I thought he'd be posting up the way he was for a couple of possessions before. But I saw him go up, and it looked like their guy (Swann) kind of fumbled the ball and was looking for someone to pass it to, and I stuck my arm out.
I think I could have learned a lot from Sean. He would have been a senior and he would have been a veteran to learn from. I could have gotten tips from him and learned a lot.
Over the last couple of games it's been real physical. We have games back really quickly and sometimes my body doesn't have time to recover all the way. Sometimes you have to play with little bumps and bruises.
I think we just stayed within ourselves and didn't let any of the fans get to us. We got some turnovers and converted ... It is great.
When I knocked down those free throws, it hit me that we'd just come in here and beat Duke. It doesn't get any better than this.
It showed a lot for us. We were down 17, came back, made a big run and got right back in it. It shows what type of team we can be.
The NBA is definitely a goal of mine down the line, but right now I am enjoying college a great deal and feel I can improve in every phase of my game. I enjoy school, my teammates and being part of the Carolina basketball program.
I'm not one of those guys that wants to come out and score 40 every game. I just want to be a solid player. Our team came out and won in a tough place, and ultimately, that's what I want.
