I think we were the best team in baseball the second half of last season. With the young guys getting a lot of experience last year, we really improved.
It almost feels like they're taking over the clubhouse. I guess it's a good thing, because you're in a playoff race. Hopefully it's something that we all need to get used to. I'd much rather have this than to be .500 and playing out the season.
He has been pretty impressive to watch the last couple of months.
He has really good hand-eye coordination. There's no type of pitcher that really gives him trouble. And he always seems to put the ball in play.
has that shtick about being a dumb country boy, but he's mentally tough and intelligent.
We aren't the same team we were in April. Last year, guys just hit the wall. Now, I think we understand how important each day is.
He's a guy that's well respected on the team. That's a huge pick-me-up for everyone in this clubhouse, having him back on the mound.

We played lights out all of September. I don't know what happened this last week.
All we want to do is win. If we win, we make up ground in the wild card and the division. All I care about is getting to the playoffs any way possible.
All of the games right now are big, so I just hope we go out and score 10 runs off him.
The last few years, we've gotten off to some slow starts. This season, there's been much more of an emphasis on getting off to a good start, and we had a good approach towards that today. I don't think you can ask for a better home opener.
I've been streaky throughout my career, but I've been trying to become a more consistent hitter.
If you work hard, good things will happen. I will never be in a situation where if I fail I can look back and say, 'If I'd only worked harder.'
