dress fair form gave great grief hard less nowadays played teammates three
We gave him grief about everything. We always got on him about his physique, which is less than intimidating. How he'd dress sometimes. All that stuff. He was fair game. He played the game, and he gave it back. That was part of the great thing there, for the three of us to be able to be teammates as long as we were, to form a great friendship. Nowadays in baseball, that's hard to do.
birthday gave might
It might have been their birthdays. I gave them each a gift.
bombs box executing gave guess line pitches results speaks tells terrible
I guess the box line pretty much speaks for what it was: two terrible pitches and gave up two bombs and everything else was pretty good. It tells me when I'm executing my pitches, I'm getting the results that I want.
bit command downside execute gave guess home result results tells
I gave up two bombs. Everything else was pretty good. That tells me that when I execute my pitches, I'm getting the results I want. I guess the downside is the result of the two home runs. I've got to get a little bit better command on my fastball.
against happen
What's going to happen when I try it against Atlanta?
facing gets needed relax team tempo trying
The tempo on my changeup is a little off right now because I was gung-ho being out there and trying to make pitches. I needed to relax a little bit. When you're facing a team other than your own for the first time, your competitiveness gets going a little bit.

becomes catching expecting gives hitting icing looking maybe settled
Is he going to be a .300 hitter? I don't know. Maybe sometime. But I don't think any of us are expecting that or really looking for that out of him this year. I think right now it's more about catching the ball. I think the more comfortable he becomes with that and the more settled he gets, the better his hitting is going to get. Anything he gives us offensively right now is icing on the cake.
supposed
We are going to be all right pitching. We are doing everything we are supposed to be doing.
fallen ourselves position
We had ourselves in a position to make a run, ... and it's kind of fallen apart.
against measured
Because I hadn't pitched well against them and because they're good, ... I measured myself against them.
sooner
The sooner you know, the more you can focus.
energy enthusiasm fun guy stuck
The thing that stuck out about him was his energy and enthusiasm when he played. He was a fun guy to watch.
denied leave needs player says talked tough
I've never denied it was tough to leave Atlanta. It's interesting to me, for someone who's been so tightlipped, that I'm the only player he's even talked about. To me, that says there is something that needs to be explained.
