obviously people start
We have a lot of expectations for ourselves, and obviously a lot of people have expectations of us. I can't think of a better way to start the year.
attract certainly indication moving people winter
If we're going to try and attract people this winter to come here and play, you certainly want to give them an indication that you're moving in the right direction. And we're certainly doing that.
game great people understand
Most people don't understand the game. But even if you don't understand the game and you go to the arena, you still have a great time. It's just a great experience.
business conversation deny far needs people public reaction remain situation took
Without having read it, being told what was in the newspaper, I'm not going to deny that that conversation took place. But that's it. That's a business situation that should remain between the people that were involved. As far as my reaction to it, I really don't have one. I think the only reaction is that I don't really think it's something that needs to be public knowledge.
either hang hear hours people pitching unless waiting
It was either come in here and hang out for two hours waiting for the game, or do something. You hear about these guys, and you hear about people in our system. Unless we're pitching on the same day, you never get to see them throw.
caffeine impact looking people players tired using
It will be interesting to see the impact on the game. It's a very long season. I think players were using them as a way to not feel tired sometimes or sluggish. Everyone is looking for that. It's no different than the way people use caffeine to get a boost.
career doubt hall late mention people though until
If it happens, I'll be proud, and it would be a dream come true, though I doubt I ever thought I'd be a Hall of Famer when I started. It wasn't until late in my career that people started to mention it, and you start thinking about it a little bit.
attention bad both carried cheering darned ends field gets good people seen side
I've been booed off the field, and I've been carried off the field by people cheering me. So I've seen both ends of it, and I can tell you the bad side of it gets a lot more attention than the good side does, but the good side is pretty darned good when it's on your side.
dangerous fights guys half people punches running throwing time
The baseball fights, you don't ever see the squaring off like you do in hockey, and in some instances, that's where baseball fights can be potentially more dangerous because you've got guys running all over the place and people throwing punches at you that you don't even see half the time.
causes great people trying
There's a lot of great causes and a lot of great things people are trying to do,
behind carry cause name people
As an athlete, name recognition can carry a lot of weight. To me, it's kind of a no-brainer, if you're able to get behind a cause and people will get involved.
believe people trying
It's just the environment that we're in right now. There's a lot of people who still don't want to believe that the program we have in place is a good program, and that it's going to work. They're just trying to find a way to shoot holes in it.
games play people
There is no second baseman in the game who can turn the double play better [than Mark Lemke]. Why are people always looking for offense at that position? What's more important is getting outs, and turning the double is a huge factor in getting outs.
against happen
What's going to happen when I try it against Atlanta?
