ball last paper ran run situation stuff year
We ran the ball last year on paper well, but some of the situation stuff wasn't as good, ... I think we need to be able to run the ball when we want to run the ball.
ball basics game line offensive passing performed ran regard work
I think our passing game was not very good. I think our offensive line performed very well and we ran the ball with consistency. But we have work to do with some of the basics with regard to our passing game.
certainly class comments deal dealt fact handle happens home issue listen poise stride sure
I think he'll deal with it the same way he's dealt with everything that has come his way at a young age, and he'll deal with it with class and he'll have poise about it. We're certainly not going to make an issue about it here. We can read and we listen to the comments and what the speculation is, but I'm sure that he'll handle it in stride just as he's dealt with the fact his home happens to be in New Orleans, too.
feels luke majority practiced says took
I think Luke will be ready. He has practiced every day this week. He took the majority of the snaps, too. He says he feels good.
area game improve passing
Our passing game wasn't very good. We've got to improve that area of our game.
changed gets opportunity product sure work
Sure I've changed with them, ... I know them very well, and they know me. It's just a product of the opportunity we've had to work together. It gets better.
approach believes believing chance decisive execute game matter methods plan players positive system teaching
Sure, I'm impressed. It's all a matter of players believing in the system that's put on the field. Tim's approach is a positive one. He's very decisive in his teaching methods and his approach to game plan. He believes the plan will succeed, and that the players who execute it will give us a chance to win.
frame great mind monday night opportunity ourselves sort
I think we'll be able to sort it out, ... Don't forget, we have an opportunity to play on Monday Night football, and that's a great opportunity for us, as well as for the Saints. We'll put ourselves in the right frame of mind for Monday night.
given prefer protect scheme team
I think what I would prefer to look at as a team is that they've only given up 28 sacks on the year. They know how to protect the passer and they know how to scheme to protect the passer.
ball lose practice win
That was disappointing, no doubt. We practice the ball on the minus-1 all the time. We had some confusion. But that's how you win and lose in this league.
attacked cause course defense goal key numbers percentage underneath weeks
That's been a goal that we set two weeks in a row, really, ... We really aggressively attacked that by challenging our defense with some percentage numbers that were way down, that would cause that kind of a holy-cow kind of an approach, where you'd look at it and say, underneath such-and-such percent. We have been able to go out and do that, and of course that's the key thing now.
drive fourth guess kidding middle mount quarter until wait
I was kidding Eli in there that now I guess we have to wait until the middle of the fourth quarter until we mount a drive of some kind.
both feet guys
Thankfully, we have some guys who have both feet on the ground.
concept happens pointing process says since team tried true upset
I was upset because in the true concept of team it is not about pointing the finger. It is not about that. We are all in this together. We have tried to engender this thought process since we have been here. Occasionally out of frustration, something happens where someone says something that they haven't thought out well.
