good hit home hook promise swing trying
I'm not trying (to hit home runs). I promise I'm just not trying to do too much, and it's yielded some pretty good results. When I go up there and try to swing hard, if I do hit it, I'll hook it foul.
good trying
Honest, I'm just trying not to do too much and it's yielded some pretty good results,
ball hard moves threw throws tough
He throws hard, the ball moves everywhere. He threw a hard slider. He's tough to hit.
face hard minutes rather smile takes walk
I'd rather make that walk when we won, ... It's kind of hard 2 minutes after the game's over and we lose. It takes a little while to take (a loss) off. It's kind of hard to walk around there with a smile on your face when you just lost, but you got to do it for the fans.
hurt last starting year
I don't see why not. He was starting to last year and he got hurt.
dugout left run
I could have moved, but it would have had to be years ago. Now I'm too old and set in my ways. It's a lot shorter run from the dugout to first than all the way out there in left field.
fastest glad guy
I'm glad he didn't take me out. I never want to come out of the game. But I'm not the fastest guy in the world.
used steroid
I have never used steroids. Never.
talking want done
We can talk about it all we want. But there comes a time when you just have to get it done and quit talking about it. There's been a lot of talk here and not enough doing.
running home practice
I rarely hit home runs in batting practice, and usually when I do feel that good, I'll have a bad game.
guy noise example
I'm not a guy who is going to make a lot of noise. I hope to lead by example.
winning games uniforms
The reason we are at the ballpark is to win that day's game, and we don't need to be concerned with anything else during the time we are in uniform. It makes things a lot simpler, a lot easier.
play design parks
Is Coors Field a good park to hit in? Yeah. So are Wrigley Field and Camden Yards. I didn't design Coors Field-I just play there.
hurt bad-day years
When I first came up to the majors and I'd have a bad day, I'd punish myself. I would do something like not eat dinner. Now I've come to appreciate that we play 162 games a year, and you're going to have bad days. And not eating dinner hurts, it doesn't help.
