Even though we lost to two teams by a lot of points, we still understand that what we did in January is keeping us in the top half of the conference.

To hold them to only 13 points in the second half is impressive. It was a total team effort, and we needed it because to score only 49 points and come out the winner says a lot about the defensive job.

A lot of folks will look at this and think it was our offense, but we scored 36 points in the first half. It was our defense early that let us down. That was the key. We'd held teams in the SEC to 17, 19 and 22 points, and we gave up 46 in the first half. We dug ourselves into a hole, but it was the defense.

I'm really proud of the way our team fought, the way we cut it to two in the second half. In my opinion, they played hard enough to win and I'm disappointed for them. Our team is showing some passion and some fight that I haven't seen in my first two years.
