ask aware call division focused game goals hunger intense junior knew lauren player playing return score team
Lauren has an intense hunger to return to playing Division I basketball. In junior college, she was a team player that focused on her team?s goals first. When we would call to ask about how a game went this year, she was never aware of her own stats, but she knew the score of the game. It was always about her team?s success.
last minutes played
It didn't feel like a 40-point game. I think we played well for about 30 minutes. The last 10 minutes was a different story. They were just toying with us.
hit nobody
We couldn't shoot. Nobody could hit a shot. Nobody.
bit played poorly taking
We played as poorly as we could. I'm not taking anything away from Kentucky. That was uncharacteristic and a little bit surprising.

build gave halftime heading huge momentum shot
That was a huge shot by Brittany there at the end of the half. That shot gave us the momentum heading into halftime and we were able to build on that.
basketball game good home played poorly taking team worst
I am not taking anything away from Kentucky. They are a good basketball team that played exceptionally, but we played about as poorly as we could. We played our worst home game of the year.
good zone
You can?t zone them because they have too many good shooters up and down their lineup.
beating game process road step steps top win work
The first thing was that we had to win our first road game ever at Mississippi State. This has all been the process of little steps where we find a way to work things out. Step 2 was beating Vanderbilt, a Top 20 team.
