good hit
I hit it good enough to give myself opportunities. Could have been better, but could have also not chipped in and made some other stuff.
add amount best clubs driver gets guessing hit hoping lie maybe pull science shot swing versus wind yards
I hit driver down No. 9. I didn't have the best lie and I didn't have maybe the best swing at it, but I hit it pretty good. I hit it like 150 yards and that was a two-iron. Sometimes you're just guessing how many clubs you think you need to add to the shot versus the yardage. That's really what it is, guessing the right amount of wind and hoping that you pull it off. It's not a science when it gets like that out there.
ball flying hot played seemed today
I played pretty well today because it was really hot and the ball seemed to be flying further,
defeat happy race
I'm happy to concede defeat. It's a two-horse race now.
anyone australia certainly double excellent figures seen weekend
I like the wind. Australia is a pretty windy place, but certainly nothing like this. I haven't seen the weekend forecast, but I'd say if anyone got to double figures (under par) that would be excellent golf.
bit blue easier proves twice winning work
It was just a little bit easier to relax. I think winning once or twice proves to you that what you're doing works, and it can work more than once every blue moon.
extra good solid steroids swing
Nothing unusual, no steroids or anything like that, just some good solid drive. If you swing technically better, you will get that extra 10 or 20 yards.
certainly twice win
Certainly to win once is nice, and twice is better.
ball breaks chad good hit lucky spots
Chad had a lot of breaks and he hit the ball in the right spots at the right time. He did everything right and got the the breaks - not the lucky breaks, but the good breaks.
ball played stopped whenever
He played really well. The ball stopped and started whenever he wanted.
best blows example shoot shooting stays style test
If it blows and it's dry, it's going to be a traditional Texas-style test where you're not going to shoot low. If it stays still, you're going to see low (scores). St. Andrews is the best example of shooting low when it's not blowing. When it blows, it's a nightmare.
ahead assure caddie last might moment needed pressure promise putt waiting
I can promise you that's not true, ... There was a lot of pressure here, I can assure you. That last putt I thought I might whiff, I was that nervous. My caddie told me, 'This is the moment you've been waiting for your whole life, so go ahead and do it'. So I did. We needed this cup. We really did.
ball club drove face generally good hit middle selection tricky
I drove the ball well, hit the middle of the club face a lot of times, good club selection generally in tricky conditions, and here we are.
advantage bit courses crowd except favor week
I'm not sure. I don't think there's enough to say it's a home-course advantage because we really all play the same courses week in and week out. I don't think there's much here except the crowd is going to be a bit more in favor of the U.S.
