Certainly now, if one player is not performing well, at any position, and you have another one who you feel can play as well or better, then you've got to give him a chance. I think Cade sort of put himself in position if the opportunity arises.

We'll have to see how it all plays out. Certainly Blake is our starter. He threw some errant balls out there today. Blake didn't play his best; he knows that. He's still the starter, but it was encouraging that Cade sort of proved that if something happens he can go play. We thought he would be. We'll try to get Cade as ready as possible. He's definitely second right now.

Our plan will be about like everyone else's - not try to let him run all over the place. Our players know what they have to do. They have to contain. You don't just run straight at a quarterback who looks like him. Hopefully, our guys will get off blocks and sort of corral him.

Our attitude is not as good as it needs to be here at Carolina, trust me. We're not there. We have a long way to go. We don't have a great team right now. We have a team that is sort of building. We have some building to do. We have some attitude adjustments. We've got to have some players who really care a lot more than they're demonstrating right now. It can be done. Patrick got off to a very rough start. The first two he threw right to the guy. ... After that he sort of hung in there as best as he could, and hit a few here and there. But he played about like a rookie quarterback, I guess. I don't know where he was throwing some of those.

Not necessarily regret. He sort of helped bring Tyrone in. I think Tyrone's an excellent coach. It just didn't work out, I guess, is the easier way to say it when we had to make a change there in the middle of the year.

We just try to improve and improve and improve. We don't worry about how we look so much. We stayed healthy and that's always, I think, the number-one priority.
