I think he senses he's not ready to play, so that's probably what we'll do.
I think it will make us a better offense, defense and a better team. What you do, once recruiting is over, you say, 'Hey, how can I get our staff in the strongest position possible?' And I really believe this gives us a very strong coaching staff.
I thought O.J. Murdock and Freddie Brown and Cade Thompson, offensively did some things that were impressive.
It is embarrassing and I apologize because this is a guy we recruited. When you recruit one and they are troublemakers, or appear to be, it makes you feel bad, so we have to do a better job of recruiting the right kind of kids. We're going to mess up occasionally, like we did with this one guy.
Maybe I'm asking Blake to do things that are a little too difficult right now,
Patrick got off to a very rough start. The first two he threw right to the guy. ... After that he sort of hung in there as best as he could, and hit a few here and there. But he played about like a rookie quarterback, I guess. I don't know where he was throwing some of those.
Some guys commit early. Some like to visit through January and commit. That's where we are.
That was the best defensive by far we've played this year, ... We switched some things up and whatever we did it seemed to work for us.
That's the kind of team we have, ... We don't have a whole bunch of plays, and our defense holds other teams to low numbers scoring-wise.
That's very good. That's a lot better than anybody we had, I can assure you of that.
Most coaches will tell you it's very important to win that last one. That's all anyone talks about.
Mike Davis ran extremely well. He's so much quicker and stronger than last year. So is Cory Boyd. He's a big time back.
Who knows what's going to happen? I've never gone on the assumption where we have a winning season this year, we're going to have one next year. We could get clobbered next year.
Whoever plays hard, whoever plays well will have a chance to be the captain the next game, ... We're beyond going by years in school.
