We had a makeshift offensive line most of the game it seemed like.
We've got some building to do. You guys know football as well as I do,
We have competition for positions all the time. So if some of these other linemen look like they can play better than the linemen we have out there, we'll certainly give them a chance.
We're not a well-oiled running machine by any means right now. It wasn't very pretty for our offense. Hopefully we'll learn from it and go on. We did practice well this week. But right now we practice better than we play the game.
When the time is appropriate, I'll answer any questions relative to this matter.
We played well at times both offensively and defensively. But in the whole realm of 60 minutes we didn't play good enough to beat Missouri. It seems like they played faster than our guys did. Give them credit, they kicked our tails.
We're not getting rid of anybody. We are readjusting the defensive coach and we are going to hire a defensive line coach.
We're very proud of the effort of our players. The effort was there. It was the little things here and there that made us a loser. We're just not sharp enough right now to beat a good team. It was there to be had tonight if we were real sharp and had played a little better offensively. Holding them to 17 points should be good enough to win a conference game.
We divided them as evenly as we could. We obviously have a few guys that have to play for both teams. They'll be on the Green team. It'll be the Garnet, Black and Green guys and they'll play for both teams.
We have not done some stupid things that occasionally happens to teams,
We haven't made a lot of big things happen on special teams, but we haven't had a lot of bad things go against us. So we're probably an average special teams group.
We'll go let Antonio throw it around and run it around and see if we can make some plays and stay on the field offensively and slow them down defensively, ... If we do those things we certainly believe we have a chance to beat Auburn.
We'll get him ready. He's been in the league quite a while. He should be able to pick up on what we're doing.
We were just talking about who was the fastest in uniform, and I said Mike West. He got a good jump and he was gone. That's why we've got him at receiver. We're just teaching him how to run routes now.
