advantage appreciate carolina football game high kids national school trying
We're trying to make it a positive, ... We're trying to tell them . . . it's a big game for us. This is not just another game. This is a big game because we're in the national spotlight. We appreciate this opportunity, and let's take advantage of it. Let's try to show some high school kids out there what Carolina football is all about.

I have always thought the Vandy kids played pretty hard and I just thought they were a little short on talent. They have really improved their talent level and they are playing well. They are an extremely good team.

He's still on my team. Because I might would've done the same thing as a college kid when somebody took the bowl game away. ... You get mad and you get over it. Those guys, I don't really have a problem with it.
good higher kids maybe players priority smaller
The kids that play at a higher level, if they are good players at that level, then maybe they would have a little priority over a kid at a smaller level.

Nothing hardly ever rattles Danny Wuerffel. He has such a sincere faith and belief in God that things are going to work out. He's definitely a good person to have helping to lead that school and those kids, the inner-city kids in New Orleans.

It's always important to play in the bowl game. All you have to do is look at the other six SEC teams that didn't make it and realize we're in the top half of the SEC. It's certainly fun for all the college kids and coaches to be playing in December, in January. A lot of them are not practicing and wish they were.

We have to change our ways, that's a positive. Hopefully we won't put a performance like this on again. Even though Alabama is a bigger and stronger team, we should have bee more competitive. A turnover here or there may have helped us win the game, but we got no turnovers.

The only thing we try to do is prepare our team for the real season, ... To be the best we can on Sept. 8. That's what we're trying to do. ... We shoot for balance. We're going to try and hit enough, not too much. We're going to try and run enough, not too much. And practice plenty without running ourselves into the ground. I would imagine everybody tries to do that.

The only thing I know is he's got a lawyer talking to our lawyer trying to settle his deal. He told me he's not coming back. So that's all I know.

When you have 40 days off, as both us and Missouri have had, some teams can be better or worse, so hopefully we'll be better.

He'll say, 'I think we did pretty good,' and we'll start watching the tape, and I'll ask, 'You said you did pretty good?' Playing well, they don't know exactly what that means.

This surface is very good. Our players enjoyed it. It's the soft, phony grass instead of that hard stuff. This is the new stuff to play on. It's very good.
