I think it will make us a better offense, defense and a better team. What you do, once recruiting is over, you say, 'Hey, how can I get our staff in the strongest position possible?' And I really believe this gives us a very strong coaching staff.
If Blake were completely out for three or four weeks, I think we'd play Cade and see what he can do. I really believe in his third, fourth, fifth year, he can really be an outstanding player here.
We believe it is a very similar recruiting class to last year. You never know until about five years from now. We certainly feel the offensive lineman, the defensive lineman and a few players here and there will help our team immediately.
I truly believe they're not expecting too much right away, ... They know we're building. You don't go out and trade or get free agents. They understand it may take a little time.
I do have some young coaches, but I don't really believe that is the biggest problem we have here.
We'll go let Antonio throw it around and run it around and see if we can make some plays and stay on the field offensively and slow them down defensively, ... If we do those things we certainly believe we have a chance to beat Auburn.
I'll cross that bridge if it comes to that, ... The thing I've tried to do all this year is not be lingering around, acting like I'm waiting for another guy's job. I don't believe that's the right way to do it. But now that he doesn't have a job, I guess there will be some discussion. We'll see what happens.
I really believe everything is here for us to be very successful.
So I don't really believe that how many years you've had in the league determines how well your players play... Coaching is coaching.
We've got a support system that gives our players a wonderful opportunity to graduate. If they go to class and give good effort, they can graduate from this school, and I believe that's important when you go out recruiting.
Cheating is cheating. Some coaches believe if you can get away with it, cheating is smart. I have no respect for those guys.
We just wanted to look around in the stadium and realize how fortunate we are to be able to coach and play in front of 80,000 people that love their team like we have here. Who knows if it does any good or not? We'll find out Saturday at 1 o'clock.
We just try to improve and improve and improve. We don't worry about how we look so much. We stayed healthy and that's always, I think, the number-one priority.
We weren't quite good enough. We didn't block well enough or tackle well enough and that was the difference in the ball game. A little block here, a little tackle there.
