ball baseball bat care cover good july looking losing played putting three time turns
We were more looking to July when Mo turns 40 for the all-40 outfield. The three of us played for a long time and take good care of ourselves. It's not like we're putting three slouches out there. We can all cover the ground, we can put the bat on the ball and we know where to play. We all have good baseball instincts. You're not losing anything with us out there.
deal expecting matter playing time win
We didn't come in here not expecting to win the first game. It was just about playing baseball, because no matter what the time is, you've got to deal with it.
bed definitely glad home nice sleep time yankees
It's nice to be in our own beds. We would have had what the Yankees had, so we were glad to come home. Any time you can come home and sleep in your own bed and have the off day, it's definitely an advantage.
appreciate bit giving glad pay results starting sticking time translate
I've been comfortable in the box, but it doesn't always translate into results. This time of year, results count. I appreciate him sticking with me as much as he has and keep giving me opportunities. I'm glad it's starting to pay off a little bit more.
attempt base bunt five guys hits might pick second six third time year
I used to get 10, 20 bunt hits a year a long time ago. Now I get five or six a year. I kind of pick my spots. I'll probably attempt a lot more than that. Guys still play me in at third base and in a little at second base. I always look. If the opportunity's there, I might as well take it.
contribute favor god hopefully knows odds plenty time year
This time of the year, you want to contribute when you get your opportunities. God knows I've had plenty of opportunities this year when I haven't come through, so hopefully the odds are in my favor now.
barry catch forward huge looking playing seeing
We're playing for a championship, and Barry is a huge part of that, but he's (only) one part. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does, but you can't catch yourself being a spectator. I don't think that will be a problem.
expect strong
It is not how you start; it's how you finish, ... I expect to make it a strong finish.
change diego enjoy everybody expensive people rains san southern
People actually enjoy it when it rains in San Diego because we never get it. It's a nice change of pace. When you live in Southern California, everybody says, 'It's so expensive there.' I tell them, 'It's just a very expensive weather tax.'
gotten great loss wish won
I wish we could have won the game. That's a great milestone, but I wish he could have gotten it in a loss to us.
july looking turns
We were more looking to July when Mo turns 40 for the all-40 outfield.
call guys happened percent
Those guys make the right call 99 percent of the time. It's just unfortunate it's happened the way it has.
amount close eight guys hours morning six sleep slept until
We're close to getting the amount of sleep we need, but they're just different hours than we're used to getting. Most guys slept from six in the morning until two in the afternoon, so we're getting our eight hours just not the eight hours we're used to.
crowd hear love noise rush second whenever
I love it whenever I'm rounding second base. It's a rush when I know I'm going for it and you hear the crowd noise rise.
