It seems if you write a book about something, there's going to be an investigation. It seems that has followed the publishing of the book. I don't think that's right. You didn't hear anything about this until the book was written.

It's nice to be in our own beds. We would have had what the Yankees had, so we were glad to come home. Any time you can come home and sleep in your own bed and have the off day, it's definitely an advantage.

At least in Phoenix, you can get off the main highways and take side streets to where you want to go. In L.A., you can't. You're stuck.

Defensively, it's easier here. They pull the right fielder over to cover the gap, and it makes the field smaller.

After a year like last year, I have a lot to prove this year. If I play the way I think I'm going to play, I'm going to get a lot of at-bats. Those things will take care of themselves.

People actually enjoy it when it rains in San Diego because we never get it. It's a nice change of pace. When you live in Southern California, everybody says, 'It's so expensive there.' I tell them, 'It's just a very expensive weather tax.'
