guys kids number played proud saturday tough
I was proud of my guys Saturday on a number of levels. Our kids played hard, they played tough but most of all they finished.
played road team
Our team played very well at Alabama. That was one of our better road games. We could have made better choices. Where do we go from here? We go to Auburn and get a win.
best centers chris country defensive earned face hard kid played shot shutting somebody steven team ways
He is a handful. Chris has played very well in most of their big games. I feel in some ways that I've got one of the best defensive centers in the country in my team in Steven Hill. I know Chris is going to be hard to stop, but he's going to face a kid that relishes defense, relishes shot blocking, relishes shutting somebody down. And if he (Chris) does well, it's going to be because he earned it.
against capable fall hard knew missed played shots
We played hard in the two losses, but we missed some shots that I knew we were capable of making. We got those shots to fall against Vanderbilt.
hunt miss played team
I'm disappointed in the loss, but I'm more disappointed in the way we played. Give Ole Miss credit. They played like a team in the hunt for it all.
games guys hard knew lost played
I knew we had lost two games by not very much, but played hard doing it. I told the guys I wanted them to play hard, but I also told them to have fun.
fine line played pleased road
I've been really pleased with actually how we've played as a whole on the road. Now, it's just that fine line of getting that big road victory.
dallas excited fans game great played spot
Everybody's real excited about not only being in the tournament, but going to Dallas. I think it's a great spot for us to be in a lot of fans in the Dallas area. We've already played one game there.
bother days good grind mentality played shots tough
I've got this old Piston mentality of how they played in the old days and how they play now. Sometimes when those shots aren't falling, you can just grind out a win, just tough it out with rebounds, good defense. That doesn't bother me.
missing needs reluctant steven worry
There are a lot of things Steven can do, but he's reluctant to do them in games. He needs to not worry about missing shots.
aware ball block free game knocked late mental mistakes throws
When you don?t block out on free throws and have the ball knocked away from you late in the game, it?s tough. You have to be aware of who is around you. We made too many mental mistakes late in the game to win.
ability average chicago great highly points public school speaks
To average 34 points in a Chicago public school league, which has great competition, speaks highly of his ability.
confident consistent guy late spot stretch terms
We just haven't had the consistent play at that spot and it's been something that's hindered us, especially late in the game, in terms of having a guy who is comfortable and confident down the stretch to make plays.
carry clearly confidence defensive job momentum offensive plays shown
We've clearly shown that we're a lot better making defensive and offensive plays down the stretch. We're doing a much better job now. That confidence and momentum should carry us.
