came clock five great players seconds shot six time top
The thing that got them over the top was Rondo's penetration. Time after time, where the shot clock was winding down with five or six seconds to go, he came up with the play. That's what great players do.
battle great key special sure tennessee turn
Tennessee is a great team. They are having a special season. The key is it will be a battle of possessions. We have to make sure we don't turn it over too much and that we rebound. We have to go there like we're on a mission.
fun humble impact kid points ronnie scores team trying value whether
Ronnie understands that his value to our team is not just in scoring. He's still an impact guy, whether he scores 20 points or 10. He's a humble kid who is trying to get better, and fun to coach.
aggressive nature ronnie team unselfish
Ronnie has an unselfish nature. But we need him to still be aggressive (on offense). You can't let the other team take you away.
balance complement difficult easy floor guys offensive players running step themselves
On different nights, different guys step up for them. Their players complement each other very well. They get themselves easy baskets by running the floor and off offensive rebounds. They don't take a lot of difficult shots, and when they do, they balance it with easy shots.
season shows
It just shows you we're been right there all season long.
defense hard minutes urgency
If he responds, great. If he doesn't, those minutes are going to be hard to get. We can't play defense without urgency and tough-mindedness.
ability both minutes sean shots tough
I've got to find them more minutes and get them more involved. They are both tough - Sean with his ability to make shots and Cyrus with his ability to get rebounds.
bother days good grind mentality played shots tough
I've got this old Piston mentality of how they played in the old days and how they play now. Sometimes when those shots aren't falling, you can just grind out a win, just tough it out with rebounds, good defense. That doesn't bother me.
battle good stingy win
You want to win that battle of the possessions. We've been good at being pretty stingy with the ball.
attacked closed defense game key
The key to the game was the way we closed out the first half. We tightened up on defense and attacked them on offense.
