car curb eager fast lap mistake pushed single touched wall
It was not perfect. I made a mistake on every single lap and I brushed the wall on the first (fast) lap. I was probably a little too eager to go fast too early. I touched the curb in the chicane and that pushed the car wide. That was too close.
car chase confident consistent good lap point starting
We didn't really chase lap times but the car was consistent and I'm very confident that we will have a good starting point when we come back in June. We got a lot done and I think we accomplished most of what we wanted to do.
action battles cars easier fast full great guys oval run section smaller speed time tricky
The Mustang was really fast and had great top-end speed but it was a little tricky in the infield section. We could run guys down on the oval section and but some of the smaller cars had a little easier time in the infield. It made for a lot of great battles and a day full of action for us.
bit car cars everybody matter package run slow smart stuck time track
I think you're going to have to be smart and use it at the right time because everybody is going to go by you, ... It's going to be a matter of when to use it and how to use it.JThe car is really stuck on the track with the aerodynamic package we run there. There is a bit too much downforce to slow the cars down.
anyone backing car dangerous difficult few inches less nerve nervous point quite serious situation thoughts
I don't know if I'd want to do it (race wheel-to-wheel) with just anyone, ... I think I'd be nervous to do it with anyone other than Bruno -- or Oriol now. It was really close, I was on the apron and Bruno was a few inches away from my wheel, sometimes even less so it's quite nerve racking. You know how difficult and dangerous it can get out there so you don't really want to be side-by-side for 20-something laps. It was tough; I had serious thoughts about backing off at some point especially with the championship situation but once you're in the car you just can't do that so you just have to keep going.

time yellow
It was a little frustrating. Every time a yellow would come out, I'd say, 'Well, OK, do it again.
bad perfect pit race stop until yellow
It was a perfect race until the yellow flag. That bad pit stop just killed us.
ours package weekend
The whole package this weekend was great. It was ours to lose.
achieved again amount best definitely easier easy everybody excited exciting finish flat floor foot happens hopefully last nerve office option proper quite race result setup spent sure team thinking time traffic vegas year
The result last year in Las Vegas was definitely a big team effort, ... The engineering office definitely spent a lot of time thinking about what was going to be the best option especially for the race setup because it was pretty easy flat and everybody was able to make it easy around the place. It was about having the proper amount of downforce and being able to go through traffic with your foot on the floor and that's what we achieved and we had a really spectacular 1-2 with very exciting finish of the race. But I'm not too excited to try and do that again it's just really nerve racking. We'll see what happens but it was quite a race and hopefully it's going to be easier this year but I'm not quite sure about that really.
dream good race
Before I say it is my dream to race in NASCAR, I need to see if I am good first,
began dominant last poles stepped talk teams truth year
I think the talk began probably because we haven't scored as many poles as we did last year and we haven't been as dominant this year, but the truth is that the other teams have stepped it up,
best enjoy job later pressure sooner whatever
The pressure is off. We know it's going to come sooner or later whatever I do. I just have to concentrate, do the best job I can, and enjoy the race.
few front glad mistakes row saw second surprised year
When I saw PT in the wall, I was very surprised because PT makes very few mistakes and that's not the kind of mistake he makes when he's up front like that. I am just glad we did it. Second year in a row it was very important for us for Centrix and PacifiCare, for everybody.
