assuming both building games home needed series win won
We did what we had to do. We needed both of these games and we got it done. They won at home and we won at home. We know going into the series we have to win one in their building assuming you win at home. This makes it a series right now. We'll go down there and do our best.
active defense field game goals obviously second win won
To win a game where we only make 12 field goals in the second half, obviously our defense is good. I thought we were very active and it won the game for us.
defense games gets happen hope kept last points rely struggle won
Our defense kept us in the game. It was reminiscent of the way we won so many games last year. There are always points in the game when you struggle a little offensively. You hope it doesn't come at the end of the game. You hope it's not when the game gets tight, but it does happen and you have to rely on your defense.
against basically dominated felt free game gave guess missed nice pull season second team throw win won
We should have won that second game of the season at New Jersey. We missed a free throw and gave up a three-point play basically at the buzzer. It's a game we felt like we should have won. I guess it is nice to pull out a win against a team that's dominated us.
against behind dominated game jersey nice season second team won
We should have won that second game of the season at New Jersey (a 100-99 loss). It is nice to put one behind you against a team that has kind of dominated us.
active game won
I thought we were very active (defensively) and it won the game for us tonight.
business five game last point score three won
I don't think we had any business being in OT, anyway. You don't have to score if you get two or three stops. As has been the case, we had trouble. Five point lead, buck-forty to go; that's a game we won last year.
calls close games happy starting wonder
I'm happy for our guys. You have to always wonder if they're going to get dejected because we've had so many close calls in games where we weren't able to make the big plays. We're starting to come around.
close happy last month played share starting wonder
I'm happy for our guys. I always wonder if they are going to get dejected because we've had close losses. We're starting to come around. We've played better in the last month or so and we've won our share of close games. We just need to keep it going.
blocked defense hang heads open picked shots
We responded particularly well tonight. When things didn't go our way, we didn't go into one of our tremendously long droughts and hang our heads and look defeated. We did the reverse. We picked it up on defense and blocked some shots and got out in the open floor.
ball floor main stay ways
We have to find other ways to use Tyson. The main thing is he has to find ways to stay on the floor by not fouling. We've got to get him the ball and ... let him do some different things.
fast missed poor
We were too fast on offense, our spacing was poor and we missed some shots.
running stopped
We . . . stopped running back on defense.
call draft enviable gauge gonna good happen john last logical money people picks value
We're in an enviable position. We have good young players, (high) draft picks and money to spend. Yet we're in last place in our division, so it's logical that people would call John and gauge if we're jittery and feel a need to make a big move. We happen to value our young players, and we're not gonna do anything silly.
