Since I was 16 and he was 15, we've been apart, but now we can be together again. The family can all come down. I've been in New Jersey for a long time, a lot of memories, and to make a decision like this is difficult to do.
Obviously, on the ice I feel very comfortable with him. I didn't know we'd complement each other when he got here, but after playing with him for a while I think we fit together pretty well.
It's going to take our best to give ourselves a chance in the series. We just have to be focused on what we need to do.
There were a few things, obviously the big one was that since I was 16 and he was 15, we've been apart, but now we can be together again. The family can all come down.
I just think he's playing well. With the puck, he's making some nice plays. Sometimes they're simple plays, but a lot of times they're the right thing to do and the best play.
Being in the penalty box as much as we were is tough. But we've got to find a way to stay out and to do a better job of killing penalties.
He's ready to shoot, he knows what Thornton is out there to do and he knows what to do.
The playoffs are tough. Nothing is going to be given to you. Tonight, we played like we expected that something would be given to us.
When the game's going to be a lot of special teams, you have to be strong on both of them. Tonight, we scored on our player play, but we allowed them (to score). It's a balance. You have to be good on both of them.
We played well tonight, but we had to. We had no choice. Now all we've got is another chance to go back out there and play hard again.
If this will put a smile for a minute that will be good. That's tough work they're doing, long days. So we owe them a lot of thanks for the work that they do.
Great or brutal. If we want to get back to winning games, the PK has to do a better job.
That doesn't mean much now. We've got a tough opponent in the playoffs and we want to go out there and concentrate on beating those guys and perform as well as we can. We have to keep our focus and play our game. They're going to make it tough, so we're going to have to pay a bit of price in front of the net ù get into the corners and work hard.
I was trying to get it up in the corner. How it traveled into the net, I can't tell you.
