general good needed nice people power pulled speed speeds team
It was a good day. I think the team in general got through what they needed to get through. I think at the end it was more about tows, so the speed doesn't say much. I think we were more comfortable at those speeds than some others. Some people pulled out some big laps. All in all, I'm pretty happy. Its nice to have some power and be consistently at the top.
bit compound everybody few follow good last lost move near nice scoreboard spot street team test tires top
It went well. It was a good follow up to what we did in Phoenix. It's nice to be near the top of the scoreboard at the end of each day. I think we kind of got a little bit lost during the mid-part of the day with the compound of tires we had here. We didn't get much out of it in the last few runs. For a team test and everybody here, we got what we need to get done. Hopefully, we'll move up a qualifying spot for the St. Petersburg street race.
car drive feels nice proper race time
The car is very much on the edge, but most of the time is very nimble. It feels nice to drive - it is a proper race car.
bit lead pit stops tough week
This whole week it was clicking, ... The pit stops were great. We got a bit of a lead there, but it was tough to pass. I'm just overwhelmed.
cars piece seemed strong throughout
We had some strong cars throughout the year, but it seemed we were never able to piece it together,
broke front second somehow tires turn
We went into the second stint on tires and somehow broke the front wing. I just couldn't turn right.
answer belts brakes engine fall four issues knock seemed select start team three
We had brake issues to start with, then a gearbox, then brakes again. Then we had some engine belts fall off three or four times. Yeah, and we couldn't select some gears. I thought, eventually, it was going to knock us off the lead, but the team seemed to have an answer every time.
both certainly cheers coming good guy hopefully improve joining momentum people strong third year
There is certainly some momentum of him coming off such a strong year and joining our team. It cheers people up when a guy like that comes over. Both of us have had a pretty good start, second, third in points, hopefully we can improve on that.
believe chip equipment gives great hard hardly race team wins won
This race is so difficult, so hard to win. I can hardly believe we won it. But Chip gives us a great team and great equipment and there are going to be more wins this year.
everybody happens hoping needs
That's what everybody has been hoping for for a long time. If it happens it will be huge. It just needs to happen, one way or another.
dan dream growing mainly similar
I think it's always been a dream or, you know, growing up in New Zealand, that's mainly what I watched, and it's probably similar for Dan growing up in Europe. I don't know. It's still a dream. It's very difficult.
confident great hold start sure
I was confident we could hold them off before the yellow, but wasn't sure about the restart. We got a great start though.
car clue fast race slow speed trying turn
I didn't have a clue what was going on in the race all day. I was just trying to go as fast as the car would let me, but I couldn't turn the car on the slow speed corners.
car few finding found picking quite setup
We've found quite a few other things with the setup of our car over the first test. It's a big help. I think here you are always picking up speed. You are always finding little things, so I think it will be an advantage.
