athletic best both couple front guys gym mark player poised senior strong
Mark is really poised for very strong senior season. He was the best player in the gym up front both nights. They had a couple of 6-8 athletic guys on each team.
game good happy hope mark presence sign tonight
I am happy to see (Bro Grebe) get into the game. We need another presence to give Mark (Patton) a break, and I hope he can come in and do that. Tonight was a good sign of what he can do for us.
contribute couple days help mark
With only a couple of days at practice, Mark was able to come in and contribute and help us out in the backcourt on this trip.
ball difficult free hit mark patton second throws took
It was difficult because they took away Mark Patton early. We were able to get him the ball in the second half, but (in the meantime) we were able to hit enough three-pointers and we made free throws down the stretch.
continues hard mark niche work
Mark Dorris has a lot of quickness. If he continues to work hard he could find a niche for us.
attention game great looking turn
That's the way we are looking at the game Wednesday. UAB is a great team, but now we turn our attention to Tulane in the tournament.
knows three together understand within
That's two in a row. He has to understand what he did and see if he can put it together for three straight. He has to play within the concept. He knows what we need from him.
difficult earlier eight explosive feeling foul half hit hoping kept memphis minutes overcome run second seven sustain team trouble wall worked
I was hoping we could sustain what we had worked up in the first half, but foul trouble really kept us from going into the second half with the same feeling we had earlier in the (game). Memphis has an explosive team and I think they were able to run us and we hit the wall about six, seven or eight minutes into the second half. And that made it difficult for us to overcome that run.
beaten fact feed home
We need to feed off the fact that we've beaten them. Home or away, we're going to give our best.
good improve late point
We've done some of that and it's good for us to know just how much we still can improve at this late point of the season.
believe continue forward great grow help move program season senior size skilled tremendous tyler
Tyler is a mobile, skilled forward with great size who is still growing. He had a tremendous senior season as a 17-year old. I believe he can continue to grow with our program and help us continue to move forward.
final six
Six out of six in the final minute; that's the difference. That's the difference.
attacked chris game games good great guards indicator nine physical second teams
Chris had two outstanding games. He was our leader. The Bahamian teams attacked with very quick, physical guards and it was a good challenge. In the second game he had nine assists and no turnovers. That's a great indicator of things to come.
